A Very Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The snow stayed around for a White Christmas which was wonderful. On Christmas Eve we attended the Children's service at our new church and it was very nice. We went home to have a quick dinner for the kids and then put them to bed. Sam and I had an appetizer style dinner, put the presents under the tree and then exchanged our gift to each other. (For those of you wondering, I got the Joy of Cooking cookbook - yeah! and he received hearing protection with a built in radio so he can be entertained while he splits wood)

The boys were able to open one present Christmas Eve. The older boys got headlamps from Nana and Papa which they thought were super cool. Nicholas got a new Tonka truck from Aunt Suzy.

All attention turned to The Night Before Christmas

A mixed holiday - cookies and carrots for St. Nicholas and his reindeer and our fully lit Advent Wreath

Nathan preparing to give the dogs their holiday snack of green beans.

Ben woke at 5am Christmas morning. We had to wake Nathan but he didn't mind once he saw that stockings = chocolate. We had a great, mellow morning. We hope everyone else did too!

Ben desperately wanted the Lego truck with the helicopter on top. He even visited the mall Santa to ask for it. The big guy pulled through (With help from Mammy and Gramps) He was sooo excited! Look at the little pieces.....

An hour earlier - getting started on putting it together.

Ben's new racetrack, which actually Nathan plays with more than him.

Nathan got a Lego train set that he can follow the directions and assemble himself.

The boys together gift - a construction site with crane. The crane is actually really cool.

All the boys have received this for their first Christmas. They just love it.

The dogs enjoying their new dog beds brought from St. Nicholas.
