This weekend Ben's soccer team (The Asteroids) won their second game 4-1, their season now is 2-0 so we are off to a good start! After the game we went to lunch and then to the Great Frederick Fair.
In the parking lot - ready for a fun time at the fair!
They had a blast playing on all the tractors, the combine turned to a slide and off course, seeing all the farm animals. The boys each took turns 'milking' the cow. Ben thought the nipples were hot dogs!
They especially liked the baby ducklings and their 'playground'. There was an anxious crowd waiting for the ducklings to go down the slide. We thought this batch was going to, but sadly the little guy 'chickened' out.
Finally a dare devil! Listen to the kids screaming - it was a riot. Everyone was cheering. It was tough to pull the boys away but we promised another stop on the way out of the fair.
On Sunday, we went to church then came home to do some yard work. Fall is settling in around us and it was time to cut back all the lilies and hosta plants. The boys had a blast helping but it didn't last long before they realized playing in the sandbox is more fun. In this picture you can see Ben on the left holding the lilly that Nicholas was suppose to trim - instead he pulled out the entire bulb by accident. Luckily I have a LOT of lilies so it's no big deal!
Still learning to blog directly from my iPod. Just downloaded the app I think I need, so hopefully I'll be able to direct post photos shortly and then I can come back and type in some text to go with them. Stay tuned! If this works, I should be able to post on a more regular basis.
