The end of Fall Soccer

Soccer is now officially over. Saturday was Ben's league tournament. What a day! It was sooo cold that morning as we needed to be there at around 8am. By noon it had turned into a beautiful day. While they did not win any games, the team has come so far this season under the direction of their amazing coach. Half of the team had never played soccer before. When the season started, Ben couldn't even dribble the ball. On Saturday we watched him make amazing saves in goal - diving clear across to get one of them. Then we had the pleasure of watching him on the field with amazing kicks at fullback and then as a midfielder stealing the ball in our zone, dribbling it along the sidelines the whole way up the field and on his coaches command launching that ball to center field to the forward. It was amazing. A couple coaches from other teams mentioned he is going to be one to watch. I have never been so proud - and so mad I didn't have it on film!!!

Team meeting post Game #1

A very tired group after Game #4

Not much more to report. We have been focusing more on Math and LA in school and really haven't done any cool crafts / experiments in a few weeks. Lots of fieldtrips over the next two weeks so stay tuned!

Ready to go deliver firewood!
