We'll start with last weekend.
Saturday we attended Railroad Days and it was cold and rainy. What a bummer! We had promised the boys we would ride the train from Brunswick to Harper's Ferry (yep, quite the long ride huh?) and they were so excited.
Visiting the Train Display while we waited for the 2:00pm train.
Just a nice view of how lovely the weather was!
Ready to Ride!
Nicholas wanted to make sure he was up to date on the safety information. We were also lucky enough to get a seat on the 2nd floor of the train car. (Don't mind the ketchup face)
I have a good video but it is having a hard time loading today. I'll try another time.
By Sunday I was sick of rain. We sucked it up later in the day and worked to pull out the garden and prepare for our fall burn in that area. Ben did most of the work with a small pair of hand snips. It took him forever but he was very entertained. Nicholas helped with regular scissors.

Later that afternoon we once again braved the weather to attend the Rose Hill Manor Fall Festival. They advertised a steam engine powered sawmill. To every ones dismay, it was not running because of the weather. We were very upset about this and hope they will have good weather next year so we can see it.
Nicholas wasn't in the mood to walk. Let me tell you, he is getting way to heavy for this thing! He weighs more than Nathan (not that it takes much to weigh more than Nathan...)
Next the boys - um, I mean daddy, did a craft.
On our way back to the van we visited the animals. Getting Nathan away from the bunnies was very difficult and he desperately wants one now. Been there, done that. He even had to hug it goodbye. It isn't looking good for Mom's will power...
Wouldn't want to make him angry!
