I know that everyone is waiting to see the picture of Ben's 'accident'. For those that haven't heard, Ben was moving firewood outside (We had a fire going) and threw down a piece. It bounced off of another piece and flipped back up catching him in the chin. He bit down on the inside of his lip also. Only the outside needed stiches and the ER visit was surprisingly short (1hr) as we were put on the 'fast track' - i.e. did not have flu symptoms. I must say, the picture makes it look much better than it is. He is doing well and hasn't even mentioned it since we left the ER. What a tough little boy!
Nicholas is growing like crazy and has gained a pound. We got the push buggy out the other day and he LOVED it.
I just can't wait to be a big boy too!!
Hey Daddy, whatcha doin'?
It wouldn't be a post without brotherly love. Ben and Nathan have grown so close over the past few months and Ben really looks out for his little brother. When we were at railroad days they had some old tractors. I love this picture full size. The way Nathan is looking at Ben - it just shows how much he truely does look up to him.
Having a snack while checking out the backyard
Heading out to deliver firewood.
At the Great Frederick Fair looking at the calf that had been born about 1hr earlier.
Ben helping Daddy with his portable saw mill.
I realized I never put up a picture of the bookcases Sam made for the boys room. This picture was taken before I put draw pulls on them. Not the best picture of thier room!
And to cap things off, I thought you might like the sequence of events in the following photos. It had been raining forever so we decided to go out and play in in (Nicholas was tucked safely in bed napping). I think your mind will be ahead of the pictures thinking about what is about to come next!!
Oh fun, I'll ride my bike through it.
Well, perhaps running would be more fun.
Jumping makes even more of a splash.
And you know you saw this coming....
