Maybe Next Time

Tonight was Nathan's turn to be goalie. He was so excited and nervous at the same time.

He did great and waddled to the rink making sure I was taking photos to send to the grandparents. Then he stopped about 3ft from the ice and wouldn't move.  That was it. He just started to cry and didn't want to go any further. Coach talked to him but no go.  So no prob we changed to regular gear and that was that. 

He was so excited but the gear and thought of everyone shooting at him was suddenly a bit overwhelming I think. 

Can't blame him. 

Maybe next time.
