Tuesday night was a very special night for our family. Ben and Nathan were recognized for earning awards at the District level in scouting. This is a much bigger honor than the awards given out at local packs. They worked hard for them! We didn't tell them why they were going to the meeting so it was quite a surprise. I was overwhelmed when they received a standing ovation from council and district executives. What a proud moment!
First they earned their ribbon for completing all 4 NCAC Challenge arrows. Here their accomplishments are being reviewed.

Next Ben earned the 'big kahuna' his SuperNova Award. This is for excellent in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and he worked for months on this award. He also had to do a ton of experiments and a lot of reading and book reports.
