Nathan went to a friends birthday party today at Skate Frederick. It was the first time he had ever tried to skate. He was a bit shaky when we hit the ice but within 20-30 minutes he was taking off and even completed full circuits of the rink without falling by the time we were done! After 2hrs of skating both mom and son were tuckered out. He insist he is going to play hockey now. I have signed him up for a Homeschool learn to skate class starting in two weeks. Hmmm, and I thought SOCCER was expensive? What in the world am I thinking!!

Keep in mind this is after 1/2hr. Very very impressive.
Too busy to pay attention to the party. Stuffing his face and watching the youth hockey players line up for their game!
Mom had a Blast too - gosh it felt good to get on the ice again! But, my butt and thighs are burning tonight - what a workout!
