Blue and Gold 2013

Tonight (yes, TONIGHT look at me on top of things!) was the 2013 Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. Ben earned his Wolf rank and will now move on to Bear. It was a very nice event and Ben had a lot of fun.
Of course my camera battery went when Ben was getting his awards and shaking the Cub Master's hand. Sigh.....

His loot

The big ones! His wolf and the I'm Fit NCAC award. The NCAC award was very hard and a lot of our time (yep, our time). It included the Scout Strong which had us running 5 days a week for 8 weeks. As a result, we are doing a 5K in May to celebrate!

After awards and food, they had the Elementary Science Teacher in for a lesson in science and physics. Ben LOVED this. All the Webelows and Arrow of Lights must be "too old" as they all sat at the tables with the adults while the cubs went down to sit.

Yep, that is a leaf blower. I wish I would have thought of that when I taught Ben about lift and drag!! We just made gliders with different wings!

The favorite experiment!

Looking to the future. These were the arrow of light plaques which were just beautiful. The arrow was made by a local Native American. I took a picture so Sam can make them in the future!
