Father's Day, Ice Cream and other Stuff..

The boys were quite excited to make Daddy breakfast. I had a wonderful veggie omelet for Mother's Day. They decided Daddy wanted toast with peanut butter. The best part is they used wheat bread (if your family, you'll get that one).

The Cooker

Nicholas' had the job of 'presentation'

Carol - Don't you love the Taylor Tongue !

Masterpiece - but then Nicholas wanted to eat it!

Just a few pictures from playing outside. Here, Nicholas is armed and very dangerous.

We were just sitting around and I was thinking about the ice cream maker that Sam's folks had given us. That reminded us of the old style one we have that was a present years ago from Aunt Suzie. We were thinking it would be fun to make ice cream while camping. So, we decided to do an experiment - fancy ice cream machine vs old style.

Lot's of Helpers. I believe I was sitting at the table enjoying a Margarita. So much for Father's Day!

Working the ice and salt

The result - perfect ice cream from the old style. Not so perfect from the fancy one as the bowl wasn't completely frozen. So - ice cream this weekend it is!
