Super Sized 7

Ben is 7. I have a 7 year old. How did that happen? For some reason, his birthday affects me so much more than any of the other boys birthdays. He is so grown up. I don't miss him being a 'baby', instead, I'm enjoying having this person who I can have real conversation with and can help me around the house.

Ben's celebration began Sunday after church with the five of us going to his favorite place - CiCi Pizza. Here, he opened his presents from us.

Monday was his birthday party at Paradise of Fun - a local bounce house establishment. We arrived at 1:30 for his 2:00 party and they let the boys start bouncing. I didn't see them again till 3 when it was time for cake. I tried to take pictures, but it was all moving way too fast!

Ben was sooo tired. He didn't even have a piece of cake and as you'll see, was even too tired to be excited about the cake!

Ben choose not to go to basketball practice that night. On the way home he stated he didn't feel so well. When we got home he showered and they watched a movie. Everyone was in bed by 6pm without a word until 5:30 the next morning. They were tuckered out. I'm so glad we did it in the afternoon vs morning as it would have made a long day! Ben didn't have his first piece of cake until tonight (Tuesday) after dinner! I'll let him have another piece while his brothers nap this week so he can get caught up.



We are on break here from school. The plan was to get some spring cleaning done. I was able to get all their spring /summer clothes out, tired on and put away and was hoping to start tackling walls, ceilings and window treatments. Alas, I have a head cold AGAIN! This is the 3rd one this year.
