St. Augustine 2011

As most of you know, I tackled the 12hr drive to St. Augustine, Florida solo with the kids. Sam had a bachelor party to attend (am I a great wife or what?) so I headed down spending the night outside of Savannah and arriving on Mother's Day. The tradition is for me to have Mother's Day weekend alone and for Sam to take the boys camping. Instead, I was in a van with the three kids pushing on to grandmas house and he was on a fishing boat in the Chesapeake.  I really screwed that one up huh? The boys did great and we had a event less ride. Sam flew down to met us after his guy weekend.

Only one picture of the trip down - stop #1 for breakfast 2hrs from our house. I had good intentions but it got a little to hectic to take pictures!

The boys were very happy to arrive and we hit the beach that afternoon. Here is a summary of the visit through photos.

Fun at the playground while Mammy and Gramps were at work

Waiting for the trolley at the Old Jail. For some reason Nathan really wanted his picture taken with this statue.

Beach Time!
Exciting news was that Nathan learned to ride without training wheels at the beach. He even had his own cheering section of other beach folks. Here is Daddy trying to keep up.

Nicholas still is in pushing mode, not riding mode. He pushed the bike all along the beach. He'll get the hang of it soon I hope.

Mammy taking Nathan for a swim

Back at Mammy and Gramps, Daddy taught the boys the 'proper' way to use a pool noodle.

After that, everyone had to have a turn.

Nicholas did great. His favorite was for gramps to throw him and then he would go under and Daddy would help him back out.

One of Ben's favorite things about Mammy's house - playing with Uncle John!
