So, it is nasty out and they are antsy but not well enough to play in the nasty weather - they still haven't eaten for the 2nd day in a row - so we deemed today craft day.
MORNING:
We started with the paint. I just continue to forget how much work it is to paint. It is getting easier as Ben is self sufficient. Since I have painted with Nathan since he was little, he actual has it figured out now and can be on his own - and trusted - not to paint anything but the paper. Small victories. Nicholas on the other hand... well... let's just say a picture is worth a 1000 words right?
STEP 1: PROTECT NEW TABLE!!!
Nathan was getting frustrated that he couldn't make pictures like Ben, so I cut some shapes out of sponges and gave them to him. This ended up being my best idea yet today.
Nicholas decided that his body is the best canvas. Sigh....
FINISHED PRODUCT
Nathan: The purple circles are raindrops, the orange is the cloud. At least he is creative with the colors. Sam was kind enough to point out I hung it upside down.
Nicholas: I have no idea. I'm going with blob.
AFTERNOON:
After Ben got up we worked on his pirate ship (that is a story / post for another day) until his brothers were up. Then we got started on some windsocks.
Getting Started:
The sun came out so it was time to go test them out!
Next we made some birds to hang for spring.
Ben's birds
Nathan's birds
Lovely!
I'm crafted out :-)
