Last night was Ben's first soccer practice. He was so excited. He practices at home everyday. I'll tell him it's time to come in and he is like "Mom, but I'm practicing my soccer". Heh. The kids were very cute. They all enjoyed kicking on the goal, but when they were trying to teach defense, they all just ran in circles. All the parents are yelling "Get the Ball, Get the Ball!!" but they just ran in circles. The concept of taking it away just wasn't sinking in.
Now I'll share a cute soccer story. Originally when sign ups started they did not have a coach for his team. So, Sam was explaining to him that we would sign up but there was a chance they wouldn't have it unless somebody could coach. Ben just looked at Sam and was like, "That's ok Dad, Papa can coach." It was so sweet. We then had to explain that Papa was too far away to coach, but it was interesting that that was his first thought.
Team Huddle. Coach Jason was like, "Ok Kids, bring it in" and they all just stood there. They needed a little explanation of what that meant!
Nice shot! Ball en route to goal.
Waiting his turn to kick.
Sigh. Already making a fool of himself in front of the ladies....
